Pocket Transcript records audio and turns it into text. You can read the transcript, search it, edit it, export it, and share it wherever you like.
Audio is sent to a transcription provider to be turned into text. The recording and its transcript are saved in your account until you delete them or your account. They are not read by us and not used to train anything. The privacy notice names every provider involved.
The website requires an account. The mobile app can be tried without one: it includes a limited amount of transcription so you can see what it does before deciding.
Recordings made in the app before you sign up stay yours and carry over to your account when you do. If you use the app without an account and then clear its data, those recordings cannot be recovered, because there is nothing to identify them by.
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not remove anything you have made. Prices are shown at checkout, including any tax.
When a subscription ends, the account returns to the free plan. Everything you have already made stays open, searchable, playable and exportable, and you keep transcribing within the free plan's allowance.
Automatic transcription makes mistakes, particularly with overlapping speech, accents, background noise and specialist vocabulary. Check a transcript against the audio before relying on it for anything important. Nothing here is a guarantee of accuracy.
Record people where you do not have the right to, break the law with it, or attempt to overwhelm or circumvent the limits on the service. Recording laws differ by country and sometimes by state or province, and complying with the ones that apply to you is your responsibility.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms.
If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be told in the app before the change takes effect.
